Neelum – A paradise on Earth

Best time to visit: May to September is ideal for lush greenery, trekking, and access to high-altitude attractions. October offers colorful autumn foliage, while winter brings snowfall but may make some roads and attractions inaccessible.
If you're traveling from Rawalpindi or Islamabad, a 4–5 day itinerary is a good balance, allowing time to visit Keran, Sharda, Kel, Arang Kel, and either Ratti Gali Lake or Taobat.
Arang Kel
Often considered the valley's highlight. Reachable by a chairlift to Kel followed by a scenic uphill hike, it offers lush meadows, wooden cottages, and panoramic mountain views.
Ratti Gali Lake
A striking glacial lake with turquoise water, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. It requires a jeep ride from Dowarian and a moderate hike, making it a favorite for trekkers.
Sharda
A charming riverside town known for the ancient Sharda Peeth, beautiful scenery, and as a base for exploring the upper valley.
Taobat
One of the northernmost villages in the valley, famous for its untouched landscapes, wooden houses, and tranquil atmosphere.
